Job Location: New Town, Kolkata

Position Overview

Insightstap is seeking a Senior QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) with 5+ years of experience to join our team in Kolkata, West Bengal. You will ensure the quality of full-stack platforms built with FastAPI (backend) and Next.js (frontend) by designing robust test infrastructure and catching issues before production.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual Testing: Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and UAT across web apps and API layers.
• Automation Testing: Write and maintain E2E UI automated test scripts and automated API tests.
• API Validation: Validate contracts, schemas, status codes, and authentication flows against Pydantic models.
• Defect Management: Log and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and severity classifications.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Support release processes (smoke/sanity tests) and contribute to integrated test pipelines.

Skills Required

Must-Have

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on manual and automation web testing.
• UI Automation: Proficiency in Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• API Testing: Experience with Postman, pytest, or similar REST client tools.
• Databases & Tools: Familiarity with SQL (PostgreSQL), Git, and Jira/Linear/Notion.

Good-to-Have

• Experience testing Next.js/React frontends and FastAPI backends.
• Performance/load testing (k6, Locust, JMeter).
• CI/CD pipeline integration (GitHub Actions) and Docker environments.
